Free Ranging Pigs and Electric Fence

We set up the pigs in an area close to the house.

There is an old grove of trees that are very thickly grown with underbrush that we need to clean out.  Many of the trees have become infected with a fungus so the only solution is to cut them down and burn them to stop it from spreading.  The question is though… how do you clean out years of undergrowth?  Very hard to do with a chainsaw.

That is where the pigs come in.

They root, dig, and are doing an amazing job of cleaning it out.  More pics to come of that…

The pigs are right near the garden.  The electric fence is doing it’s job but for extra protection we have put a simple woven wire fence around the garden for a second layer of protection.
